Space Marine Sketch

Space Marine Sketch

Here is a another free image for you RPG future gamers out there. I decided to give you something a little different this time. I like the sketch quality of this one. I have some others in this style that I will post eventually.

This image started out using another one of the great characters from DAZ 3D. It was done in Poser. Then I did a lot of playing around with the sketch rendering capabilities of Poser. I actually did several different renderings with different styles of render. Those I then brought into Photoshop and played with the layers.

I like it. What do you guys think?

    Very cool! Very Halo-esque.

I like it. I’d like to see more weapons, other equipment. Maybe that isn’t the point of this sketch, though. I still like it.

Thanks Lou. When I have time, I’ll see what I can come up with. I really appreciate the comments.

I guess I’m thinking something like a combination of Master Chief from HALO, and the marine contingent from that Aliens movie (was it the second one?) where they go to a planet that’s been infested with the monsters. MC has all that body armor, with the mirrored visor, and looks totally badass, but almost machine-like. The marines in Aliens were every bit as badass, but it was all about the attitude that nothing could possibly ever hurt them.

Can you armor up a guy with a spiky flat-top haircut, scarred face, and cigar clenched between his teeth?

You might look up Marine Force Recon for information about their special operations group. My understanding is that these guys eat Navy SEALs for breakfast.

I’m sure I could do that. The hard part is time. I’ll work on something.

Thanks for the link. I’m certain, I would not want to mess with those guys.
